The European Commission - DG Research Industrial Technologies, the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) and the Institute of Industrial Technologies and Automation of the National Research Council (ITIA-CNR) are pleased to announce the Workshop:

“The MANUFUTURE Platform: A new way of governance for research in manufacturing”

which will be held on October 20^th, 2004,

at Palazzo Affari ai Giureconsulti, P.zza Mercanti, 2 - Milan, Italy.

The main purpose of the workshop is to discuss with the key stakeholders the most appropriate approach of structuring a European Technology Platform for Manufacturing in view of the upcoming conference “MANUFUTURE 2004”.

The discussion will principally address the following issues:

† The MANUFUTURE platform purpose, structure and function;

† Ways of fostering co-operation in manufacturing research activities;

† Mechanisms of consensus building for wider acceptance and participation.

Attendance will be by invitation only.
