The aim of the Norwegian Manufuture platform is to strengthen and increase the RTD and innovation activity in Norwegian manufacturing industry. Manufuture Norway will be an arena for networks, research and innovation for the production industry. The development of production systems for the future is a focus area.

– Contribute to the establishment of meeting points for production companies and academia
– Identify the need of R&D in the different industrial sectors
– Start up research projects in cooperation with the Research council of Norway and Innovation Norway

Norwegian manufacturing has a unique potential in the global economy, but its success will depend upon continuous innovation in products and processes. Customers are sourcing an increasing proportion of their components from low-cost countries. Norwegian industry needs to work intensively to create next generation products and processes, and research-based innovations are therefore crucial.

The Norwegian Manufuture-platform covers all sectors of manufacturing through the Federation of Norwegian industry.
