3 – Technical objectives

The Czech Technological platform will be divide into several sectors which are represented with key actors
(industry association, universities and research centers) with link to trade and the end users.

Each sector will work up research and development trends (strategy research agenda) which will be elaborated
into research programme of competent research center.

The role of deputy ministries is to support cooperation and communication between technological platforms
and relevant ministries and Research and Development Council of the Czech Republic.

The financial support for research and development could be provide for projects prepared under each section.
There are expeded accompanying projects for all sectors as well.

The general goal of the Czech technological platforms is to define trends and joint research activities as well as
found the financial sources for activities which fill suport three main objectives:
– R&D Support
– Innovation Support
– Human Resources Development in Manufacturing Sphere


4 – Relevance to nation economy

In 2005 The Czech Republic Government published government decision (no. 661) in which aprroved seven
long time research priorities which will be supported in the Czech Republic. One of this priority is
Competitive Manufacturing (Research for Competitive Manufacturing). The czech Technology platform
support this priority and helps to acchieve aims describes in the government decision.

Joint research programme which will be set up between key actors in technological platforms supports as well
Lisabon’s strategy and facilitate private and public financing of the research and development.

Cross sector reasearch will bring higher effectivity of research and development in manufacturing technology.


5 – Sectors within the TP

At the beginning there will be following sectors under Czech technological platform:

-Engineering Industry (Producers of Manufacturing Technique)
– Transport Industry (aerospace, automotive, rail vehicle)
– Energy Industry (Producers of power machines)
– Textile Industry (Producer of textile machines)
– Control, Measurement and Automatization Industry
– Ecological Industry (Producers of ecological devices)
